A Preying Mantas (also known simply as a Jellyfish) is a type of enemy that appears in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. They are found underwater moving up and down, and they don't attack Yoshi very much if at all. Yoshi can defeat them by shooting a torpedo at them, as the Yoshi Submarine. They also appear in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 typically appearing in underwater coves.
