Marching Milde is a boss appearing in the Yoshi series. It's a notable member of the Mildes.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

Marching Milde first appears in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island where she is located in the level Marching Milde's Fort of World 4. She is also the fourth fortress boss in the game.

When starting battle, Marching Milde is seen to only be a regular Milde. Kamek again comes along and makes her grow giant. Marching Milde only walks back and forth like a normal Milde and is not very harmful. In order for her to be attacked, she must be Ground Pounded on the first time to be broken into smaller segments, then pouncing is another tactic. First, she breaks into two smaller sizes, then four large ones and then eight regular Mildes which must be pounced on or, forming a new tactic and swallowing. Yoshi must use any attack on all of the Mildes so Marching Milde may be defeated once and for all.

Trivia

• She looks similar to Kirby from the Kirby games.
• Also, she is the only boss that can be defeated by being swallowed.
• Aside Salvo the Slime and Tap-Tap the Red Nose, they are the only three seen outside of battle.
