Nintendo Switch 2

The Nintendo Switch 2 is an upcoming console scheduled to release on June 5, 2025. It is backwards compatible with the original lineup of Nintendo Switch titles. However, some backwards compatible games work on the Nintendo Switch 2, and some do not.

Compatible Yoshi games

The following Yoshi games are confirmed to be playable on the Nintendo Switch 2:

• Yoshi's Crafted World (2019)
  • Originally released on the Nintendo Switch.
  • Backward compatible on Nintendo Switch 2.
  • Features handcrafted-style levels with creative puzzle-solving.

• Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World (TBD)
  • Speculated to be included in the backward-compatible lineup.
  • Originally released on Nintendo 3DS as a port of Yoshi's Woolly World (2015).
  • Nintendo has not officially confirmed compatibility yet.

Notes

• The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct initially displayed Yoshi's Woolly World (2015), but this was later corrected to Yoshi's Crafted World (2019).
• Backward compatibility details for additional Yoshi games may be announced in the future.
