A Pointey (also called a Spring Plant) is an enemy in the Yoshi (series) only appearing in Yoshi's Island DS. They're horsetail like creatures.

Yoshi's Island DS

Pointeys only appear in Yoshi's Island DS. They don't do real harm to Yoshi or his allies, but they extend from the ground blocking his path, often serving as an obstacle more than an enemy. If they touch one, they'll bounce them back. They can be defeated by jumping on it, throwing an egg at them or using Baby Donkey Kong's dash attack.
