Venus Fire Trap

A Venus Fire Trap is a type of Piranha Plant that can spit fireballs. They appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii as semi common enemies. They can be beaten with fireballs or ice balls.

Yoshi can eat a Venus Fire Trap and then spit out a large fireball which can be used to plow down any enemies up ahead for extra points and lives.

Venus Fire Traps return in New Super Mario Bros. U with the same role as the previous game, in this game, they can also melt ice blocks.

Trivia

• There is an ice version of the Venus Fire Trap called the Venus Ice Trap. Instead of spitting fireballs, they prefer to spit iceballs.
