Micro-Goombas (also called Mini Goombas) are a microscopic type of Goomba found in several games. They can't kill Mario, Luigi or Yoshi as they are too tiny, they can, however, weigh them down. Other than that, Micro-Goombas are just as weak (if not weaker) than a basic Goomba. In some games, Micro-Goombas are dropped by Paragoombas but in most, they are capable of walking on their own.

History

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Micro-Goombas appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii in the levels World 5-4 and World 7-5. They attack by latching onto Mario and weighing him down, aside from this small threat, they can easily be shaken off with either a Spin Jump, Ground Pound, or enough Jumps. They can easily be destoryed with basically any other attack as well.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

A different kind of Micro-Goomba also appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2. This Micro-Goomba is far less durable than a standard Goomba and a single spin can destroy it.

Trivia

  • Various Issues by Nintendo Power have nicknamed Micro-Goombas as Bean Goombas, Pea Goombas, or even Sausage Goombas mostly due to their tiny size.
