Gargantua Koopa Troopa
Gargantua Koopa Troopas (also called Giant Koopa Troopas, Mega Koopa Troopas, or simply Big Koopa Troopas) are giant-sized Koopa Troopas found in various games.
The first appearance of a Gargantua Koopa Troopa in the Yoshi (series) was a single Koopa Troopa named Hookbill the Koopa who was transformed into a Gargantua Koopa Troopa by Kamek's magic. He was the boss of World 4. To defeat him, Yoshi needed to pelt eggs at his face and once he's knocked over, ground pound him 3 times. After Hookbill's defeat, he turns back into a normal Koopa Troopa before falling.
Gargantua Koopa Troopas appear again in Super Mario Galaxy 2 in the Supermassive Galaxy. Here, three can be seen roaming around a small dirt-filled planet. Mario and Luigi can defeat them by drilling into them with the Spin Drill. Mario can also bounce of a Gargantua Koopa Troopa's shell to rack up infinite lives.
Gargantua Koopa Troopas also appear in New Super Mario Bros. U. They can commonly be found in Soda Jungle as common enemies alongside Grand Goombas and Piranhacus Giganticus. Their shells can be used to shred through enemies and Brick Blocks. This is also the first game where Gargantua Koopa Troopas are bipedal. The Super Dry Bones (which also appears in this game) is possibly an undead Gargantua Koopa Troopa.
