Sniffing or Sniff-Sniffing is an action in Yoshi's Story. It's activated by holding the R button. It's used to find items in the ground. When holding the R button, Yoshi will start sniffing. The faster Yoshi sniffs, the closer he is to an item. If Yoshi is really close to an item, an exclamation mark will appear on top of Yoshi. If Yoshi is on top of the item in the ground, he will shout. To obtain the item(s), Yoshi must Ground Pound. Your Yoshi can gain Heart Coins, Fruit and even a White Shy Guy by Sniff-Sniffing.
