'''Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door''' is a roleplaying game starring [[Mario]] and friends. It's the sequel to [[Paper Mario]] and the second in the franchise. [[Yoshi]] appears as a playable character, though his [[Yoshi (species)|color]] is random. In a rare instance, Yoshi can actually speak English. [[Luigi]] is a non-playable character who goes on adventures of his own. The game got a Nintendo Switch Remake in May 2024.

After testing, it was discovered that Yoshi's color is actually determined by the amount of time the player takes to hatch them.
