Birdo is a Pink, Yoshi-like animal who first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2. Birdo is always seen wearing a pink bow, a diamond ring on her left hand, and purple eyeshadow. Other Birdos occasionally appear, similar to Yoshis, but there is mainly only one Birdo.
Personality
Birdo is a generally kind, supportive character. Initially, she was a villain or enemy, but in latest games is an ally or friend.
Yoshi
Birdo is partnered up with Yoshi in many Mario sports games. They are paired up in Mario Kart: Double Dash, Mario Tennis and many other games. It's possible that Yoshi is her love interest.
Physical Appearance
Birdo is a small dinosaur who looks similar to Yoshi but more feminine and almost the same size. First of all, Birdo has magenta skin (but not like Pink Yoshi). She has small but pointed claws on her hands and feet, but Yoshi has none. She has a big head with purple dots on her cheeks. She has a trumpet-like mouth. She has big purple eyes with three long and small eyelashes. On her back has multiple red spikes. She wears a big red bow on her head. She has a white padded stomach and padded feet, but unlike Yoshi, her cheeks and underbelly are not white.
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Birdo is playable in the GameCube game Mario Kart: Double Dash!! as a medium-sized character. She is best paired up with Yoshi and her signature kart is the Turbo Birdo, which can be unlocked by beating the 150cc Flower Cup.
