Boo Guy

Boo Guys are enemies that appear in Super Mario World 2. They're a cross of Shy Guys and Boos. They're like normal Shy Guys, but they can hover in the air and are ghosts. Unlike Boos, they can be eaten by Yoshi to make eggs. They can throw missiles in some levels like Nep-Enut's Domain.

History

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

Boo Guys make their debut in the level Bigger Boo's Fort it hovers around the air slowly, like the Shy Guy it can come out of certain warp pipes making contact with a Boo Guy will cause Yoshi to take damage. Some Boo Guys periodically drop maces on the ground before bringing them back up others push a wheel in groups which operates a long, revolving spiked ball.

Yoshi's Island DS

Boo Guys make a reappearance in Yoshi's Island DS, acting the same as it does in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, but only the regular variants appear in this game.

Yoshi's New Island

Boo Guys reappears in Yoshi's New Island and once more reprise their role from previous games such as activating traps.

Yoshi's Woolly World

Boo Guy appears in Yoshi's Woolly World they behave just like they do in previous games in addition this when covered in Spooky Scarp they become more aggressive and invincible they are only found in the levels Spooky Scraps! Don't Get Spooked! and Yoshi, the Terror of All Boos
