Brown Yoshi is a Yoshi that made his only significant appearance in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. He's appeared the least of Yoshi variations. He wears dark-red Boots.

The Brown Yoshi and Purple Yoshi in the intro of Yoshi's Story

Brown Yoshi, along with Purple Yoshi, were supposed to be playable characters in Yoshi's Story, but were scrapped. They both appear in the intro of the game. Brown Yoshi also wears green shoes instead of brown shoes.

Paper Mario

In Paper Mario on Lava-Lava Island, home of the paper Yoshis, you can have a chat with some of them and you can also find some Paper Brown Yoshis.

Trivia

• Brown Yoshi is the only Yoshi that is in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island to not be in Yoshi's Island DS, being replaced by Orange Yoshi (and at least for decades not having him come in games), it's suggested that he might have for now not found some game fitting him.
  • Also, for some reason, in the Yoshi pack in Mario Kart 8 and playable Yoshi colours for Mario Strikers: Battle League, Purple and Brown Yoshi (though he was absent for long since the mid-2000s) weren't included.
