Ice Flower

Template:Distinguish2 Template:Infobox Item Ice Flowers are the ice-elemental counterpart to Fire Flowers, as they throw Ice Balls instead of fireballs like Fire Flowers. Ice Flowers make their first appearance in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time.
In Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
An Ice Flower has similar effects to a Bros. Flower, except it allows Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi to shoot Ice Balls instead of fireballs. Ice Flowers can randomly lower the enemies' Attack, Defense, and/or Speed.
In the Super Mario series
New Super Mario Bros. sub-series
In the New Super Mario Bros. series, Ice Flowers first appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The ice balls temporarily encase enemies in blocks of ice that can be picked up and thrown, shattered by using a Ground Pound or by hitting them from underneath, or used as platforms.
Super Mario Galaxy
Ice Flowers turn Mario into Ice Mario, allowing him to move across water, and lava by turning it into ice as he steps on it. Like other temporary power-ups, the music theme speeds up more and more toward the end until the effect of the power-up runs out.
In the Paper Mario series
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
The Ice Flower also appears in the Paper Mario game titled Paper Mario: Sticker Star. They only appear as Stickers which Mario uses in battle. Mario will strike all enemies with ice balls. Note that the Ice Flower will not hit flying enemies and will heal ice-related enemies but is critical on fire-related enemies. Ice Flowers also come in Shiny and Flashy kinds.
Paper Mario: Color Splash
The Ice Flower makes an appearance a usable card. It functions the same as in Paper Mario: Sticker Stars, and also comes in a Mega version.
In Mario Kart Tour
Here, the Ice Flower makes its Mario Kart debut as a special item. It gives the user three snowballs, which can be thrown on opponents and freeze them for a few seconds. It's similar to the Fire Flower and can only be used by Ice Bro, Penguin Mario, Penguin Luigi, Penguin Toadette and Ice Mario.
In other media
The Super Mario Bros. Movie
An Ice Flower appears in the scene where Bowser is having a wedding with Peach, where it is hidden in Peach's bouquet by Toad; Peach soon reveals the Ice Flower and uses it to freeze Bowser and everything in sight. However unlike Peach in the film, Donkey Kong never gets a chance to transform into his ice form once in the film.
