Super Mario Kart's The 1st game in the popular Mario Kart (series). Made in 1992 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the game is the 4th best selling game for the console. Much of the game's largely based on Super Mario World, with many graphics and general themes from said game. The game's had an influence on the whole Super Mario Franchise too, with Rainbow Road appearing in Paper Mario: Color Splash, Rainbow Road appearing in the Super Mario film and item-based battles in many Mario Sports games etc.
