User talk:Deena
Thank you
I've told this to Sailor (on PikloDex), and I'll relay my thank you to you as well:
Though I'm often focused on doing wiki stuff and processing requests made by you (and Deena), I've wanted to take my time to say a sincere thank you for your invested interest in the wiki stuff that I do. :) Even though there's seemingly no perceivable gain, since I'm just a guy quietly working on wikis online (including on Fandom, which grew on me over time even though I was not happy they gutted MonoBook skin). Not many people are interested.
As you may have seen from Nookipedia, I've been permanently banned from many of the conventional wikis. The reasons behind the ban is complicated, but the simple terms is that used my misconduct on Discord (yes, I was not always the nicest person) as an excuse (and some they twisted out of context to suit a narrative); see, I didn't like the oversight that NIWA had over especially the Super Mario Wiki (and attempting to stifle their coverage over Zelda, Super Smash Bros., etc.) and the hypocrisy behind zelda.fandom.com being part of NIWA, despite a no-Fandom-wikis policy. I quit Discord permanently three years ago because most of the people there are not good people, I'd rather not react or type up messages that I'd later regret, and the constant dramas and activities don't matter in the long run.
Fast forward today. You inspired me to get hosting solution for Mario Compendium, and it's for that reason that I have a few wikis here (I can't host too many since each one beyond three wikis costs an extra five dollars monthly). If you want to know an analogy, it's like having two kids help their parent(s) run a family-owned business. It's very wholesome (and why I only do invites-only with wikis), and I hope you and Deena will some day experience something similar.
Speaking of which, are you making sure to stay safe online? I'm doing my best to prove myself as a friendly person, which I try to convey through the nature of my wikis. Since you're young (as you admitted to attending school), I'd highly advise reading about being safe online (which is advisable for even adults) and consulting your real parents about the ground rules of what to do and what not to do online. Unlimited access to internet may seem desirable, but it can be incredibly dangerous.
