Black Yoshi

Black Yoshi Is an alternate coloration of Yoshi that has special abilities similar to White Yoshi. Black Yoshi wears white boots.

Appearances

Yoshi's Story

His first appearance is in Yoshi's Story. He likes all fruits, peppers and black Shy Guys. His white shoes stay for every other appearance. His voice is considerably deeper than the other Yoshis, especially White Yoshi.

Yoshi Touch & Go

Black Yoshi Can hold up to 50 eggs in this game.

Yoshi's Island DS

He is playable along with White Yoshi in the secret levels in Yoshi's Island DS.

Mario Tennis Open

Black Yoshi Appears in this game as a QR downloadable character. His skill is All-Around, like Mario and Luigi.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U

Black Yoshi appears as one of Yoshi's alternate costumes. Unlike every other alternate costume, he was removed in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, being replaced by Yoshi with his design from Yoshi's Crafted World.

Yoshi's Woolly World

Black Yoshi's 1 Of the Yoshi colours you save while on a quest to restore all the yarn to normal Yoshi patterns and defeat Kamek and Baby Bowser.

Black Yoshi Levels

Black Yoshi Is a special Yoshi, cause all of its levels have to be unlocked. They're all secret levels.

• Black Yoshi was planned to appear in Super Mario Sunshine but was removed alongside Yoshi and White Yoshi, likely due to time constraints.
• According to the official Yoshi's Story website, Black Yoshi and White Yoshi is rarer than any other Yoshi colour. However, Brown Yoshi's rarest.
